Disabled Flying
Have you ever wanted to fly – but don’t feel that you’re able to because of a disability?
U Two Can Fly will be the perfect solution to that.
Working alongside U Two Can Fly, Two Two Fly are looking to make flying available to as many people as possible.
We’ve been working towards this aim for some time. You may recall that Two Two Fly undertook the UK 3 Peaks Challenge in 2015 – ensuring that all of our fixed wing microlights are accessible for wheelchair using pilots.
The aim of U Two Can Fly is to make piloting as accessible as possible for people who are wheelchair bound. I’ve worked with U Two Can Fly to put together some great value packages and introductory discounts as well.
The U Two Can Fly project is in it’s early days – however we’re looking forward to working together over the coming months and years.
Find out more about the project at their website.
Each lesson will have three parts – firstly an appropriate briefing as to what is expected on the flight and which exercise you are doing, secondly an hour in the air lesson, finishing with a debriefing.
During your journey you will learn checks and your responsibilities as a pilot. Arriving early will give you time to meet others and be prepared for your lesson.
The cost of the lesson includes:
- Hire of aircraft and instructor
- Briefings
- Landing fees
- Fuel
- Use of other associated equipment ie.: – helmets, head sets, flight suits, gloves.
- Insurance (not life)
